Renri Tree

RENRI-BOKU

2024 Hamamatsu Regional Heritage Certified

A miracle tree where two different trees
have joined as one trunk over many years.
That is the Renri Tree (Renri-boku).

I-kan Corporation headquarters is located in Miyakoda-cho, Hamamatsu City. The grounds include a plumbing business office, French restaurant, cafe, farm, food research & processing factory, and a certified nursery school. Within this vast site of over 25,000 square meters, the 'Renri Tree' stands out conspicuously.

This land in Miyakoda-cho was originally a wilderness. It was used as an Air Self-Defense Force training ground during the war, but after the war, development projects were carried out and it was allocated as agricultural land. Mr. Masuda, who became the owner of the land, discovered a small tree about 2 meters high at the border of the land in 1959. That tree was a so-called 'Renri Tree' where two trees were joined from that time.

Since then, the Renri Tree has watched over the land and residents of Miyakoda for over 60 years, from a state where the surroundings were wilderness.

In Japan, the Renri Tree has been treasured since ancient times as a symbol of
'Wonderful Encounters' and 'Good Matches'.
There are even records where eras were changed as a result of being presented to the Emperor.

We aim to carefully protect the Renri Tree, a precious asset of Miyakoda-cho, as a symbol and power spot of 'Recovery' and 'Good Matches.' Also, so that many people can receive the blessings of the Renri Tree, we allow customers of the restaurant, cafe, farm, nursery school, and I-kan Corporation freely stroll through the grounds.

We will protect this precious property and pass it on to the future. We also pledge to grow as a company together with everyone we met through the guidance of the Renri Tree.
